Glitzy Tattoo Icons

Uncategorized

13 Apr

Hello! Today I have a card that uses some of the newest stamps and stencils from The Rabbit Hole Designs. I totally love the new “Old School Tattoo” collection…it’s cool, it’s fun, and it’s easy to work with. For this project, I used the “Dice & Diamond” stamp, along with the “Tattoo Icons” stencil.

I started off by stamping the Dice & Diamond focal stamp. I colored in the dice and the flower, but I really wanted that diamond to sparkle, so I stamped it again on silver glitter paper. I needed to use StazOn to do this, and because of the texture, it didn’t stamp perfectly, so I went over my stamped lines with a Sharpie marker. It was just easier to use the marker in this scenario because the lines are nice and straight. I fussy cut the diamond out and mounted it right on top of the colored image.

Look at that sparkle! When I had first seen the “Tattoo Icons” stencil, I just knew I had to use it with Gina K Designs’ Glitz Glitter Gel. I knew it would look amazing in Gold, so that’s what I used. It’s so striking on black cardstock!

I stamped my sentiment, which is from the Dice & Diamond stamp set, on to gray cardstock. But I felt that I needed more (yes more!) sparkle, so I flicked on some Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Gold. You can see it well in the photo above. I mounted everything on to a white card base, after I inked the edges of the base with black ink. It looks like it’s on a black base now, but the rest is still white.

I love how bold, sparkly, and graphic this card is. Imagine how different it would look by simply changing the color of the flower! Or, the color of the Glitz Glitter Gel. There are so many options. I hope you love the Old School Tattoo collection from The Rabbit Hole Designs as much as I do. I am having so much fun with it. Please be sure to visit TRHD Blog to get many more ideas. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
