Hello hello! Today I am sharing a card I made with one of the newest Stampendous Curio stamps, the Llama. He is a fresh take on a llama that had come out previously, and this time, as I mentioned, he’s a Curio stamp. That means that he’s a wooden wooden sculptures ideal for decorating your crafting area or giving to crafty friends. On the back of each, you’ll find a matching rubber stamp in the finest gray rubber, closely trimmed, with a foam cushion. Check out my card with the Curio stamp beside it.
You can see that the stamp is nice and big, so it’s a perfect focal point for your creation. Here’s a shot of just the card.
I wanted to go with a wintry feel for this card, so I stuck with aquas, teals, and greens for coloring the llama’s presents and accessories.
I created my background with Distress Oxide inks in Wilted Violet, Cracked Pistachio, Salty Ocean, and Broken China. I applied the colors in stripes with my Ink Blending Tools and then spritzed with water. I also added a bit of color to my craft mat after the first layer of color was dry, spritzed the mat with water, and put the cardstock into the wet ink to pick up the splotches. After that, I chose my sentiment from the new Holiday Wishes Perfectly Clear set and stamped it in Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink. Next I added 2 types of snowflakes from the Skating Penguins set with Delicata ink in Silvery Shimmer.
That’s it for me today. I’ll be back tomorrow with a new card featuring some Sparkle Blends! Please be sure to visit the Stampendous Blog to see more fabulous creations. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
