We all know the expression, “April showers bring May flowers.” I decided to do a play on that. So, here’s my Mayflower in the midst of an April shower.
I started off by inking up the new Frigate stencil with Versamark inks and a couple of small stencil brushes. I also had my Picasso Stencil out so that I can easily mask off the parts that I wasn’t inking at the time. I used a couple of different colors for each section, as well as different amounts of ink to keep the image from being too flat. After that, I used my Rain stencil along with Translucent Embossing Paste. I let that dry, tore the bottom edge of my cardstock, and rounded the top 2 corners.
I inked the edges of my card base, and thankfully found my sentiment in a collection of phrases from DCWV. I inked and clear embossed it, to help it coordinate a bit better, then I added some twine to give it a more nautical feel. I used pop dots for added dimension. It all came together very quickly. Thanks for stopping by today!

LOL! I get it! At first I was wait, that doesn't make sense. It's the ocean. No flowers there. LOL
