I love crows and ravens. They are magical, curious, and creepy. Some of my favorite birds, for sure. So I just had to break out my Raven stencil from Dreamweaver.
I used Dreamweaver’s Matte Black Embossing Paste on the raven, making it lok feathered, instead of smooth. After he dried, I cut him out. Then I played with the Stone Wall…I love this stencil! I embossed that as well, and then inked some mossy tones on top, subtly.
I used the Rain stencil and inked it in white, then embossed with clear powder. Used my fun fence punch from Martha Stewart, and the “Nevermore” sentiment from Smeared Ink’s Quoth the Raven set. I stamped it on acetate and stapled it down.
This card takes me to the end of my favorite movie, The Crow. The scene in the rain, when Eric Draven is fighting Top Dollar at the church. Loved that part…so much emotion in that scene. What’s interesteing, and unintentional, is that my second post for today, the last of my Dreamweaver/Stampendous collaboration, also has a movie reference. Not something I typically do, and I think it’s funny that I did 2 in one day! Please check it out. It’s a verrrry different movie from The Crow. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my side bar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creep-tastic day!
