Hello! For today’s project, I decided to not go the Halloween route. Instead I went down the path of Dia de los Muertos. Today is the day the October Sketch is revealed on the Bombshell Blog, so I of course wanted to play along.
For this card, I went with 2 sets from Bombshell Stamps. Dia de los Muertos and All My Heart. I went for a very pastel color pallet which is very unusual for me.
I used watercolor markers and Copics for all of my images. I love how the wings turned out. I used a little bit of Star Dust Stickles, and it really gave the wings some dimension and magic.
I think perhaps next time, I may try what some of the other talented Wicked Bloggers do, and layer the heck out of those wings for some real dimension.
I used the same Stickles around the sentiment. If you’ve seen the original sketch, you’ll see that I altered it slightly. I did that to better suit the position of my focal image.
Such pretty colours. A lovely creation xx
Fantastic card. I love your color choices and I especially love the wings. THat little bit of bling really adds to it. Thank you for sharing your talents.
