Hello! I have a scrapbook page to share with you today. It felt soooo good to be scrapbooking again! I really need to find more time to do it, as I am so ridiculously far behind. But at least I got 1 page done! I made this with the June Dreamweaver Stencils challenge in mind…Glitter and Weddings. Ok, so this is certainly NOT a wedding page, but I did use a heap of glitter! I experimented with their Double Glitter technique…and boy is it fabulous! The only problem is that, you are supposed to use a sheet of double sided adhesive….where the glue itself is a sheet. The only stuff I had on hand like that had a dotted adhesive. It doesn’t hold all the glitter because it’s in dot form! But, it did give it a cool distressed look. Wanna see? Some of you may remember when I took these pictures of my daughter Rhiannon. It was for a Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls challenge. Well, I never got to scrap them, and I took a lot of pictures! These are 2 of my favorites. This is where I applied the Double Glitter technique. I used Dreamweaver’s Damask stencil. It is SO beautiful! And I think that it can look creepy cool when done certain ways. This is one of them. I wish you could see how sparkly it is. It’s beautiful! Doesn’t she look just like Wednesday??? My background paper (Martha Stewart….that’s her glitter too) has foiled spider webs, which is so rad. I cut out a bat (also from MS paper), and made my title using glitter paper from DCWV and my Slice machine. I added a few rhinestones and some staples, plus one pretty little silver star. Just because. I am so happy I managed to get this made for the Dreamweaver Stencils challenge. I was so upset that I didn’t get to play last month….and that was perfect for me because you needed to use black! So, I guess I am incorporating both challenges into this one…even though it doesn’t count for last month. 🙂 Thank you so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

You do creepy-cool so well, Alison! Love the more broken up look of your double-glitter panel! Now you need to get the spider web stencil, too! Thanks for playing with us!

Whoa…Alison!!! The contrast between the spider web and that traditional damask is great…I never would have thought to use that with "Wednesday". (Your daughter is adorable!)

I realize I'm a little late in replying, but i couldn't not leave a comment…I LOVE that you used a "tradionally weddingish" stencil, on a layout that is completely out of character for it! you know i'm going to scraplift this idea, as i won't be able to look at the Damask stencil the same way ever again! I hope you post to the Dreamweaver Challenge again, I'd love to see what else you come up with!
