Greetings! I have been busy working on several projects all at once (is it just me?), and I finished one to show you. My craft room is upstairs, and the kiddies really can’t go up there for a number of reasons. So I am stuck working on partial projects until I can get some time in my room. So I am constantly coloring in images lately. No complaints here of course, but now I have a bunch of images with no homes! I had originally planned on making a card for today’s Friends Having Fun sketch challenge, but I’ll have to hold that off for today. I had colored in one of my new fave images and again, she was homeless. So, I decided to give this pretty lady a home. And, what’s really cool is that this was another one of those cards that just fell into place. Not a whole lot of thinking required here! This baby has another couple of stamps from the Chicks Dig Guns collection from Smeared Ink. I love this set. The chicks are all so different, yet all so pissed off! And can I just tell you that the detail is amazing? Plus, I don’t think I have any stamps that has rubber that is so thick! But back to the detailing… just take a look at these fishnets! Click on any of the pictures to see them bigger! I colored her in with my Spectracolor pencils, and then I ripped and chalked the edges. Oh! And her dress was just begging for some Stickles action! Here’s a better look at all the glitz! I used Tiara Glitz Stickles on her. The FAB cardstock I used is from DCWV and yup, it’s pre glittered! Coincidentally, I knew I had some scraps of this paper lying around, and I had every intention of cutting it the way you see it here. But, my sis had actually used this and found her old scraps! So lucky for me ‘cause I didn’t hafta spend time cutting! Sweet! Thanks, Pam!!! A quick peek of the inside. Nothing too crazy. I wanted to keep it simple. More chalk was used and a bit o’ silver marker. This card is going to a very special relative of mine. I know she’s gonna love it! Wanna see more cards that used the Smeared Ink stamps??? Go on over to Smeared and Smudged! If you are not yet a member of the group, join us! There is a TON of incredible inspiration over there!!! Have an inspiring day!Oh! By the way, I have officially been blogging for an entire year! Go me! Not bad for a chick that didn’t want to blog at all! Big shout out and “thank you” to Margie! It’s all your fault! Look how far I’ve come! Love ya!

Fun card, Alison! I do love the background… like a city skyline or something.

This is sooo cool — I LOVE what you did with the strips. It totally looks like a city skyline (and I see that Barb thinks so, too)! You come up with such clever, creative ideas! I have the same craft room dilemma — I just can't seem to get near there during the day, as much as I'd LOVE TO.
