It’s Twilight Tuesday Challenge time again! This week, we have a challenge that I could write and scrap about for days… It’s brought to us by Dani and here is what she writes:
Have you ever worked with someone and an unexpected friendship developed? In New Moon by Stephenie Meyer we watch such a friendship bloom between Bella and Jacob as they rebuild a pair of old motorcycles. I love seeing them change from good acquaintances to having a deep, loving friendship.
I also love hearing about the motorcycles! There is just something them. While the Cullens had their fast cars, Bella and Jacob had their motorcycles!
Now for the challenge of the week!
The challenge portion: I am going to do something a little bit different today. You can choose between these 2 challenges:
1. Make a project involving motorcycles.
or
2. Make a project that you work on with a friend.
The comment portion: Again you can choose either of these 2 to comment on:
1. Tell us about any motorcycle experience you have!
or
2. Tell us about a friendship of yours that came about from working together.
This is a challenge near and dear to my heart! I love motorcycles. Always have. I really hope to eventually get my motorcycle license and a bike of my own one day. I can’t remember when I first went on a motorcycle with my Dad. I really don’t know how old I was… I could only guess that I was about 5 or 6. My sisters weren’t born yet, so I was pre-age 7. But no matter when that first ride was, I was hooked. Now on to my project…
Please click on the photo so that you can see it bigger. This is me and my Daddy. It’s pretty amazing that this was the challenge for the week because his birthday is actually tomorrow. He would have been 62. Being on a bike with my Dad was one of my fondest “category” of memories. We did it- not as often as I would have liked- but enough for me to not want to call just one memory to mind, but many. 
This is a close-up of the little tag. I was 18 when this picture was taken. He passed 5 years later.
I used a lot of products that are no longer available. I really wasn’t sure what type of paper I wanted to use… I was having a hard time figuring out what colors I wanted to use. But then I found the stripe and the paisley. My Dad was a pretty damn snappy dresser when he was going to work. His suits were beautiful, his ties were unique and distinguished. And the paisley just reminded me of how much I loved to see his outfit everyday. He had such great combinations… never dull. He would have never been caught in that yellow and bright blue combo that so many “Suits” wear. My favorite was (now go with me), a deep, dusty purple that had grey undertones to it. It was subtle but beautiful. And it actually was really masculine. He looked so handsome in that suit…
Now that I have gone completely off topic… I will be sure to bring you some more motorcycle stories later in the week. I have a lot of them! But for now, why not go and check out the other designer’s projects?

What a beautiful memory with your dad…. This page is wonderful! Great picture and I love all the little embellishments! I am sure this wasnt the easiest page to design….you did a perfect job though! Huge, huge hugs this week honey, I will be thinking of you..
