Ooh! I am so excited about this! Twilight Tuesday is thrilled to announce that we are collaborating with The Greeting Farm! Have you seen their ADORABLE stamps??? Now, I’ll be honest, I’m not usually a fan of super cutsie things.. but this company has won me over! Margie (one of the TTIC designers) introduced me to this company (via her blog) a short time ago. She had featured her Anya stamps, and gave us a peek at a super fantastic little Edward stamp! I fell in love with him! He was so great! Well, needless to say, I now am a proud owner of the little Edward (thanks so much Marie!). So, we now give you a special Twilight Tuesday Challenge! We were to create something using The Greeting Farm’s Edward and by using the colors black, red and white (or silver). These are the colors that most Twilight Fanatics (including myself) use on their projects. Here’s what I created! Now tell me… can you resist this little fella??? I can’t! I love his outfit too! It’s so hip! Lots ‘o layers! So. I colored Edward in with colored pencils (Spectracolor) sans his pinstripes which I used a silver EK marker. The paper is from Reminisce and Time Flies. I am thrilled with how this card came out. Exactly as I wanted it. And this little stamp is pretty inspiring… I actually had hoped to have another card to show you today (Edward is already stamped and colored in) but I ran out of time…plus, he’s not i the unofficial Twi-colors… so I’ll just post it another time. So why are these 3 colors what have dominated the Twilight crafting world? In my humble opinion, it obviously starts off with the book covers. But beyond that, I think that the red is pretty obvious as a proper color given (hello!) the color of blood. Black and white? Time tested best friends of red… the trio works so well together. Plus, white… the pale color of vamp skin. Black… night, gothic, mysterious. Really, they’re the best colors to use! Although, I do love it when it’s switched up and we get an unexpected color combo! But I must say, red black and white have always been a combo I have gravitated towards. Especially in clothes. So? What’s your take on all this? Post something at Twilight Tuesday! And, be sure to check out all of the other designer’s awesome projects too! Until next time… Twi Hard!!!
