Hello! One of the stencils released this month from A Colorful Life Designs is called Nine Flowers. While I like the way they are placed on the stencil, I wanted to make something more scattered, so I came up with the design I’m sharing today. I kept the card monochromatic, which I don’t do often, but I really like. I wanted to use purple because this card is for a tribute hop for another friend I recently lost named Hilary Greek. There’s an IG Hop going on in her honor, and I highly recommend you check it out, if you’d like to get inspired by wonderful Hilary. Purple was her favorite color (her hair was often purple!) and I used THIS card of her’s as inspiration or mine. Plus, Hilary loved A Colorful Life Designs, so it was fitting to use one of their stencils on this card.

On white cardstock, I inked each row of flowers a different color. I used Flirty Fuchsia, Royal Treatment, and Sweet Sixteen (this color is no longer available, and you can use Sixteen Candles instead) Inks from Catherine Pooler. Then I loosely fussy cut each of the flowers out. I scattered them onto my card base and adhered them. I trimmed off any overhang and used those pieces to fill in any small gaps around the edges.

I chose a sentiment from Concord & 9th’s Checking in Stamp Set, and I inked it with two of the three colors I used on the flowers. Then I used the coordinating die to cut it out. I die cut plain white cardstock two more times to give my sentiment even lift without using foam tape. I added some shine by adhering Crystal Metallic Wisteria Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs around the sentiment.

I hardly ever cut my stenciled images out, but this card reminded me of why it can be so effective. I really should try to remember to do it more often. I hope you’ll check out the hop for Hilary.
