On December 29, 2025, our creative community lost a beautifully imaginative soul. Today, we celebrate the life and artistry of our dear friend Tanna Lohouse —her creativity, her kindness, and the joy she shared so generously. As you visit each stop, you may spot some of her favorites: Alice in Wonderland, frogs, the color orange, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the ocean, and creations from her friends with whom she shared many late-night laughs. Thank you for helping us to honor her spirit and keep her light shining through the art she inspired. She will forever be part of this community and part of us.

We’re celebrating Tana with an Instagram hop, and you can check it out by starting at my friend Gloria HERE.

I made the background for this card during one of the many Zoom sessions I was on with Tanna and some of our other friends. We were all gel printing together, and it was a really special moment. I used the Great Sweeps and Grand Swirl Stencils from A Colorful Life Designs with acrylic paint. Tanna absolutely loved stencils and being on the A Colorful Life Designs Team, and since we made this print “together” I knew I had to use it today. Plus, it’s got lots of orange, her favorite color!

She was in constant contact with a few of us, and I was one of the lucky ones. We were always on each other’s minds, so this sentiment from Concord & 9th was quite appropriate. Most mornings, I’d get a quick “hey, what’cha doin’?” from her and I was so grateful to have someone like Tanna who always checked in on me. I miss her terribly, and I hope she knows how much she meant to all of us.

This photo shows some of the things Tanna sent to me. I’ll think of her every time I see/use them. It’s still so raw, knowing that she’s gone, but I am truly grateful for the time my friends and I had with her. I wish I could have met her in person. Don’t forget to check in on your friends, and always tell them what they mean to you. Thanks for stopping by.
What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful soul lost too soon. She must have had big things awaiting her on the other side. Gentle hugs, my dear friend.
