Greetings! Today I’m sharing a really pretty holiday/winter card that uses some products from Spellbinders and Dina Wakley’s Starry Holiday Collection. I really love how whimsical this collection is, and how nicely it lends itself to mixed media projects.

I used the Cheer & Good Tidings Deer BetterPress and Die Set with some Smooth Bristol Cardstock from Strathmore. I inked the deer with Fallen Leaves VersaFine Clair Ink, and then I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to color him in. I inked all of the white space around the deer after die cutting it with Hot Tub Ink from Catherine Pooler, because I didn’t want it to be white. I found a similar color to Hot Tub in cardstock form, and inked my sentiment with Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink. It coordinated so well with the ink, it almost looks like it’s the same color.

For my background, I embossed a piece of navy colored cardstock with the Stars & Fronds Frame 3D Embossing Folder. This is such a pretty folder, I know I will be using it often. After I embossed the panel, I rubbed my Golden Glitz Delicata Ink from Imagine on top. This made it shimmer and helped the beautiful embossed design to stand out.

I really love how it turned out. It’s magical and pretty. The Starry Holiday Collection is really fun to work with. Please be sure to visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
