Hello! Many of you probably don’t know this, but I began blogging because of Twilight. Back when I had my scrapbooking and stamping store, I held a layout contest to make a Twilight inspired page. One of my customers came in with her submission and asked if I had a blog. I truthfully didn’t even really know what that was, so she explained it to me, and invited me to check out Twilight Tuesday, which was a weekly Twilight inspired blog challenge. I quickly joined, started a blog, joined the Design Team, and virtually met so many other crafty folks, many of whom I still chat with, including my bestie Kelli. So this month’s Hero Studio Card Kit of the Month and Cling Stamp of the Month from Hero Arts made me think about my Twilight roots, and I decided to make a card that gives off those vibes.

I’ve already shared a couple of projects using the Card Kit of the Month, but this time I used a completely different color palette to coordinate more with the Twilight Saga’s book covers. I really love the stamp set in the kit that allows you to customize the spines of the books. I stamped the images with VersaMark Ink and used a combination of black, gold, silver, and ivory embossing powders on them. I also used a really old paisley patterned paper that I had in my stash.

My background was created with the Cling Stamp of the Month, which I also used with VersaMark Ink. But this time, I heat embossed with Aged Green Embossing Enamel. It’s got a gorgeous mix of powders in it and it worked so well with the look I was going for. I popped up my stack of books with Black Foam Tape from Scrapbook.com and added some Opaque Iridescent Vanilla Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs. I inked the edges of my card base with Charcoal Suit Ink from Altenew.

These kits are so fun to work with. This month’s Card Kit is probably my favorite of 2025. I will never tire of books! Please be sure to visit Hero Arts to see all of the Hero Studio Kits. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
