Greetings! A couple of sweet birdies want to wish you a Merry Christmas. My card today uses the Little Birdies Die Set from the Spellbinders and Lisa Horton collection called All About Christmas. I kept my card neutral in color…almost drab… kind of like a Winter day, except for some pops of red.

I die cut all of my elements, including the branches a couple of extra times. I love that you can add snow to them, if you wish. Then I worked on my background. I started from the center of my panel and worked my way out with Lost Shadow Distress Oxide and a Blending Brush. Then I splattered it with Frost Sheer Shimmer Spritz.

Next, I adhered all of my die cuts to the panel. For my sentiment, I used the Merry Sentiments Clear Stamp and Die Set from this same collection. I stamped the sentiments with Pinecone VersaFine Clair Ink. Before adhering my panel, I inked my card base with more Lost Shadow Distress Ink.

I love to use lots of color on my crafts, but sometimes it’s nice to keep things neutral with a pop of color. The red really stands out and makes the card cheerful, even though the scene is so gray.
