Greetings! I have a new card featuring the Spring in Kyoto Collection from Alex Syberia and Spellbinders. I also used the Scalloped & Stitched Edge Ovals die set from Lisa Horton and Spellbinders’ new Wildflowers Collection. I went for a primary color theme for this card, which is unusual for me, but I think it came out really pretty.

I used the Kokeshi Dolls BetterPress Plates & Die Set first, and colored one of the Kokeshi Dolls with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. Then used the Fan and Bow Die Set to create a beautiful fan to put behind the doll. I repeated the colors I used with my Zigs with colored cardstock.
Next, I die cut 2 of the ovals from the Scalloped & Stitched Edge Ovals using some patterned paper. Behind that, I added a piece of blue Spiffy Speckles paper from Lawn Fawn behind them and I inked the edges of my white card base with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink.
Normally, when I think of primary colors, I think of things that look very juvenile. Thankfully, I think this reads as elegant and not as though it should be in a kindergarten classroom. I love it.
